January 2023 President’s Message

Dear NCC Members and Colleagues,

I’m honored to serve as PRSA NCC’s 2023 Chapter President. I hope you will join me as we strive to make PRSA NCC a continuing advocate for the PR and communications profession. PRSA NCC has been one of the largest PRSA chapters for years, and this year, we hope to advance that reputation and guide our community of professionals toward the best future possible.

Our goal is to continually build relationships within the communications community, and we are constantly rethinking how we can best represent the full range of our diverse members. We’re always looking to grow our member base, but more importantly, we’re willing to learn how to serve our PRSA NCC members better and ensure our members enjoy a fulfilling career in communications.

I’m deeply committed to making sure PRSA NCC provides our membership with quality professional development opportunities, unparalleled networking and social events, and the confidence to enhance your career and support the growth of your company or organization. One way you can help me is by volunteering for one of PRSA NCC’s committees. I encourage you to complete our interest form, which lets us know you are willing to serve. We continue to seek and broaden our outreach to potential members and volunteers in all sectors of the communications profession, not just PR. This includes areas in public affairs, internal communications, content, events, and reputation management.

As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any other chapter leader if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas for how we can improve and move forward as a chapter. Along with the Board of Directors, I’m proud to serve PRSA NCC and our membership, and I look forward to seeing many of you at events throughout the year.

Sincerely,

Leah Dergachev, MBA
