PRSA National Capital Chapter Launches PRSANCC.org
Redesigned Website Offers Communications Professionals in D.C. New Opportunities
Washington, D.C. – January 17, 2020 – The Public Relations Society of America’s National Capital Chapter (PRSA-NCC), the nation’s largest PRSA chapter, today announced the launch of its redesigned website, PRSANCC.org. The dynamic new website seeks to engage with communications professionals in the Washington, D.C. area and provide them easier access to the extensive professional development, thought leadership, and networking opportunities offered by the chapter.
“We wanted to develop a new site that better addressed the needs of both our diverse membership and the broader Washington, D.C. communications community,” said PRSA-NCC immediate past President Stacy Hope, who spearheaded the redesign with Board member Robert Udowitz. “We worked closely with the design team at the Beekeeper Group to capture the chapter’s energy and dynamism, showcase our broad range of events, and demonstrate how membership in PRSA-NCC enhances the skills and connections of local communicators.”
Among other improvements, the new PRSANCC.org features an enhanced visual presence, streamlined navigation, full mobile responsiveness, and the integration of member blog posts within the main site.
PRSA-NCC advances the communications profession in the nation’s capital by fostering collaboration, enhancing knowledge and skills, and creating connections through robust educational, networking, and professional growth opportunities.
Other new or upgraded features include:
- Easier event registration
- Updated information on how members can take full advantage of their benefits and become more involved in the chapter
- Enhanced sponsor visibility for chapter sponsors and those interested in engaging with the chapter or through one-off events
- Searchable database of communications opportunities for those seeking employment or employers seeking to hire
- Ability to apply to mentor young professionals seeking career guidance and counsel, or to seek a mentor
- Full integration of popular social media applications
The website revamp was conducted by the Beekeeper Group, after a competitive bidding process that culminated last fall.
