PRSA NCC Unveils New Awards Program Name; Early Bird Deadline Extended
The PRSA NCC Awards and Recognition Committee is excited to debut its new name for its inaugural awards. Following feedback from stakeholders and board members and after careful consideration and input from members, past awards recipients, past PRSA NCC presidents and Hall of Fame inductees, the awards program is rebranding as the “National Capital Excellence in Communication Awards.” This new name provides the awards with the distinction from a prominent professional association in the nation’s capital but also from the largest PRSA chapter in the country. We recognize the “Thoth Awards” has longstanding name recognition and this name will still be a part of the sub branding. We will be launching the new name on social and in multimedia assets in the weeks to come.
As a result of COVID-19, this year’s awards ceremony, like many PRSA chapters, has been moved virtual and will occur in November. Please stay tuned for more details. The early bird deadline for awards submissions has been extended to Friday, July 24 by 11:59 p.m. ET. Final deadline is Thursday, September 10 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Questions?
